Pool Splash
Pool Splash captures the fleeting moment when a body meets water — a joyful, chaotic burst that sends ripples across a still surface. Using a gestural spray technique, I applied the cyanotype solution in a way that mimics the unpredictable splash of water during a dive or cannonball. The resulting marks reveal organic, wave-like patterns reminiscent of sunlight dancing on the bottom of a swimming pool.
This work was created using traditional cyanotype chemistry, hand-applied and exposed to natural UV light. The spontaneity of the spraying process ensures each piece is truly one-of-a-kind — no two splashes are ever the same.
